Button Makers

Check out the Button Makers to use at home or Reserve It to use in the Makery.

What is it?

The Button Makers turn your print or hand-drawn designs into wearable buttons! The buttons can then be pinned onto your t-shirt, backpack, jacket, and more. The Makery offers 3 sizes: 1″ Small, 2″ Medium, and 3″ Large.

Cost:

  • Small: 25¢/button
  • Medium: 50¢/button
  • Large: 50¢/button

What can I do?

You can make buttons for gifts, parties, special occasions, or simply as a fashion statement.

What does the Makery provide?

  • Button press – small, medium, large
  • Circle cutters
  • The metal parts of the button
    • Small: 25¢/button
    • Medium: 50¢/button
    • Large: 50¢/button

What do I need?

  • A design either printed or drawn
    • $0.10/page BW Printing
    • $0.50/page Color Printing

Tips & Tricks

  • Paper must be 20 lb. The button press will not work with card stock, photo paper, or construction paper.
  • Microsoft Word is great for beginners who need to resize an image.
  • Always have extra print outs or paper to practice cutting the circles. If the circle is not cut well, the button press will not work.

Reserve the Button Makers

Reserve

  • Call (630) 279-8696 or email makery@elmlib.org about your reservation
  • Reservations are limited to one-hour
  • One reservation a day
  • Maximum of two upcoming reservations
  • Reservation requests can be made every week starting Monday at 9:00 a.m.
