The Kids’ Library of Elmhurst Public Library is seeking a librarian to coordinate and develop childrens’ programming for Elmhurst children, from birth through eighth grade, that will inspire children and families to pursue a love of reading, explore interests, access information, engage with technology, connect with others, create, and innovate. This full-time Kids’ Library team member will provide professional-level reference and readers’ advisory service to children and their caregivers, will maintain areas of the department materials collection, and will contribute to developing avenues of service based on community needs. Salary: $49,959.00 yearly. Plus excellent benefits: Medical, dental and vision; 4 weeks accrued vacation per year; 12 sick days per year; 4 personal days per year; Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund pension (IMRF).
Hours: Full time (37.5 hours per week). Includes evening hours and weekend hours in rotation.

HOURLY RATE: $10.50
HOURS: 12 per week
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 4:00 – 700 p.m. Plus occasional week-ends.
