Creative Studio

Creative Studio Policies

The Creative Studio offers access to high-end equipment and software needed to complete digital audio, visual, and graphics projects. We aim to provide useful tools for professional, personal, and school-related projects. The Creative Studio is reserved specifically for the use of creating. Patrons may use other areas in the Library to read, relax, or do other work not related to creative projects.

Eligibility

The Creative Studio is open to Library cardholders in good standing. Reservations are recommended and may be made by Elmhurst Public Library cardholders. Walk-in users will be accepted if The Creative Studio is not currently in use or scheduled for use. Call, text, email, or chat us with any questions or to make a reservation.

Adult supervision is required for anyone below the age of high school.

Use of Software/Equipment

Patrons must adhere to Library Policy when accessing the Creative Studio. Please refer to our Internet Access policy (3.13).

Projects

We recommend that users bring their own personal storage devices such as Flash Drive, External Hard Drive, or have access to a personal Cloud Storage service where they can save/export their projects before leaving the Creative Studio. The Library is unable to store projects locally on Creative Studio Computers. Each time the Creative Studio computers are shut down or restarted, all personal data, including project files, are permanently erased and cannot be recovered.
