The Makery at Elmhurst Public Library is a do-it-yourself makerspace for hands on experiential learning. The Makery is located in the basement.
A variety of equipment is available for you to learn and use. Staff are always here to help!
All Makery equipment stays in The Makery, but check out the Library of Extraordinary Things to borrow Makery-related equipment.
Plan for extra time. There is a learning curve for most Makery equipment, so leave yourself some time to practice.
Bring extra materials. Mistakes are an important part of the learning process, so bring some extra supplies to practice on.
Reservations are recommended but drop-ins are welcome. Reservations are available up to 7 days in advance. Allow one business day for staff to review and respond to your requests.
Reservations will be held for 15 minutes past the start time, please notify us if you will be late.
