The Makery at Elmhurst Public Library is a do-it-yourself makerspace for hands on experiential learning. The Makery is located in the basement.
There are so many possibilities! Some popular projects include
Plan for extra time. There is a learning curve for most Makery equipment, so leave yourself some time to practice.
Bring extra materials. Mistakes are an important part of the learning process, so bring some extra supplies to practice on.
Reservations are recommended but drop-ins are welcome. Reservations are available up to 7 days in advance. Allow one business day for staff to review and respond to your requests.
Reservations will be held for 15 minutes past the start time, please notify us if you will be late. Please provide as much information about your project as possible (e.g. What materials are you using?).

If you have sensory sensitivity, please let us know when booking your reservation and we will do our best to reserve your time when loud equipment is not being used. Noise cancelling headphones are available for use in The Makery at all times.

Tuesday: 12-8:30 p.m.
Wednesday: 12-5 p.m.
Thursday: 10 a.m.-8:30 p.m.
Friday: 12-6:30 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
