3D Printing Guidelines

  • 3D printing is available to
    • Elmhurst Public Library cardholders
    • EPL business cardholders
    • Work Perks cardholders
    • Elmhurst University students
    • Students & teachers at Elmhurst schools
  • Limitations
    • Maximum 10 hours per print
    • Maximum dimensions 10 in. x 6 in. x 6.7 in. (254mm x 154mm x 170mm)
    • Due to increased demand, maximum 5 items per calendar month
  • Cost
    • $0.10 per gram
    • Minimum $1.00
  • Completion time: up to 7 business days
  • Objects may not come out as intended. The Library cannot guarantee satisfaction.
  • The Library does not refund printing fees for completed items which do not come out as intended.
  • Requests are fulfilled in the order they are received.
  • If a 3D print is not picked up after 30 days, it becomes the Library’s property and may be discarded. You are still responsible for the cost of the materials.
  • The Library reserves the right to refuse any 3D print request.
