Eligibility

3D printing is available to:
  • Elmhurst Public Library cardholders
  • EPL business cardholders
  • Work Perks cardholders
  • Elmhurst University students
  • Students & teachers at Elmhurst schools
  • 3D printing is not available to reciprocal borrowers

Limitations

Staff may resize objects to fit within limitations unless instructed not to do so.
  • Time:  10 hours maximum per file, 20 hours maximum per week
  • Size:  10 in (254mm) x 6 in (154mm) x 6.7 in (170mm)

Cost

  • $0.10 per gram, minimum $1.00

Disclaimers

  • Objects are not guaranteed to come out as intended. Print quality is affected by any number of variables. The Library does not refund printing fees for completed items which do not come out as intended.
  • Requests are fulfilled in the order they are recieved. Allow up to 7 days turnaround time.
  • If a 3D print is not picked up after 30 days, it becomes the Library’s property and may be discarded. You are still responsible for the cost of the materials.
  • The Library reserves the right to refuse any 3D print request.
