Parking Options
There are 130 spaces in the Library parking lot, and additional spots in the Elmhurst Art Museum parking lot. Other parking options are available nearby. Obey all posted signs.
Key:
BLUE: this is the Library’s parking lot. Parking in this lot is for Library users only-All others will be ticketed. Additional spaces are available in the Elmhurst Art Museum lot when the Library lot is full. (these spaces have no time limit)
GREEN: free parking anytime the Library is open (these spaces have a maximum of three hours) EXCEPTION: The parking structure on Adelaide St. is available for $2 for all day parking, or free after 5 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends.
YELLOW: free parking after 5 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends (these spaces have a maximum of three hours)
RED: This is the Library Staff lot. Parking in this lot (on the corner of Park & Prospect) is permitted after 5:30 p.m.
PURPLE: drop off/short term parking. Picking up a child? Returning a book? Use the drop off lane to run in to quickly return materials or grab a hold, and don’t forget about the Outside Book Drop and Drive-Up Window!
