Meet the New Catalog!

What:

A new, more user-friendly library catalog will debut on June 9! The new catalog will be used to search for books and other library items just like the current catalog. You’ll also manage your account and place holds with this new catalog.

Why:

All software has a lifespan, and the current catalog is no longer being upgraded. It will still be available through September 2025 while you get used to this new and improved interface.

New features include:

  • The ability to browse categories like New Materials or Library of Extraordinary Things — with pictures included
  • Recommended titles based on your usage
  • You can check out Libby items directly from the catalog
  • Libby and Hoopla items that you check out can be managed from your account
  • You’ll still be able to save your reading history. If you saved your history in the current catalog, it will migrate with your account to the new catalog
  • Notifications about Library events that align with your search
  • Forgiveness of minor spelling mistakes during a search
  • When searching for a specific title, most items that come in multiple formats (book, audiobook, ebook, etc.) will be linked together, giving you more reading options
