Voter Information

For the March 19, 2024 General Primary Election, DuPage County voters may cast their ballots through vote by mail, during in-person early voting starting February 8, 2024, or by voting on election day at any polling place in the county. Requests to vote by mail must be received by the Election Authority at least 5 days prior to the election, but voters are encouraged to submit their applications as early as possible.

The first wave of vote by mail ballots is sent out 40 days prior to the election and may take 4-5 business days to arrive at voters’ mailboxes. To make sure your vote by mail ballot gets counted, fill it out and mail it back or turn it in at a polling place as soon as possible. To be counted, the ballot must be postmarked by election day.
