Books? Sure, we’ve got books. But, if you’ve been to the Library lately, you know that we want to help you to Connect, Create, and Explore. In order to do that, sometimes words on a page are all you need. But at other times, you need something more than books to get the job done.

Our Library of Extraordinary Things is a collection of items to help you learn something new, get something accomplished on your to-do list, or try something you may not have at home. What will you discover?

Having a party? Check out a boombox, vinyl record turntable, projectors for movies, and more.

Cook

The Culinary Cupboard collection has lots of great kitchen tools, pans, and gadgets to make your dinner party a smashing success.

Create

The Creative Studio and the Makery give Elmhurst Library cardholders access to professional-level equipment and software. Other digitization and creative equipment is available for checkout.

Improve

Keep tabs on energy efficiency at home with our eco tools, keep connected with wifi-hotspots, and stay dry when leaving the library with EPL umbrellas.

Play

EPL is also a place to have fun. Check out board games (for all ages), puppets, and puzzles. Take a ukulele to try at home. Get outside with sets for pickleball and croquet. Technology for kids includes Playaway Launchpads, and iPads preloaded with educational apps.
