What is it?

Creator’s Bottle Cutter is designed to score bottles to cut open. The Bottle Cutter uses a carbide cutting head to score the bottles. Maximum cut is 10.5″. Patrons can then bring the bottle home to thermal shock and break apart.

What materials do I need?

• Glass bottle

What materials do I need at home?

After scoring the bottle at the Makery, you will need to bring your bottle home for the thermal shock. The thermal shock separates the bottle at the score line by heating the score line with a candle (as shown in the above video) or boiling water and then rapidly cooling it with ice water.
