The Makery

Discover The Makery

The Makery at Elmhurst Public Library is a do-it-yourself makerspace for hands on experiential learning. The Makery is located in the basement.

What You Can Do

There are so many possibilities! Some popular projects:

  • Etch a charcuterie board or wine glass using the laser cutter
  • Customize a mug using the sublimation printer
  • Customize t-shirts using heat transfer vinyl and the Cricut
  • Submit a design for 3D printing

Tips & Tricks

Plan for extra time. There is a learning curve for most Makery equipment, so leave yourself some time to practice.

Bring extra materials. Mistakes are an important part of the learning process, so bring some extra supplies to practice on.
